The BLEND coffee Pour Over Basic Method
Whole Bean Coffee, Grinder, Swan Neck Kettle, Filter, Dripper, Coffee Mug, Scale
Bring at least 11⁄2 cups (350 grams) of water to a boil.
Place the filter into the dripper. Set the dripper on top of your mug. Add the ground coffee to the filter.
For blends and single origins add about
4 TBL (20g) ground coffee.
Gently shake the filter to level the coffee.
In a spiral motion from center to edge and back again, slowly pour in just enough water to saturate the coffee (about 1⁄4 cup or 40g).
Stand back in awe
as the grounds bloom, about 40 seconds.
Working in three pours, slowly pour about 11⁄4 cups (300 g) of water over the coffee in a spiral motion from center to edge and back again (about 1⁄3 cup or 90g to 100g water per pour).
Pause after each pour to let the water pass through the grounds.
Sip your coffee and savor a job well done.
